What to Expect During your Tour of the Falls
Arrival At The Entrance
Your journey begins at the entrance gate to Victoria Falls National Park, which is usually located on the Zimbabwean side of the falls
Once inside the park, you’ll embark on a guided walk along well-maintained trails that offer various viewpoints of the falls. These trails wind through lush rainforests, giving you a taste of the region’s rich biodiversity.
As you approach the falls, you’ll come across a series of viewing platforms strategically placed to offer stunning panoramic views. The most famous of these is the “Knife-Edge Bridge,” where you can stand directly above the churning waters and feel the mist on your face
The highlight of your tour will undoubtedly be the sight of the main falls, known locally as “Mosi-oa-Tunya,” which means “The Smoke That Thunders.” The falls span approximately 1,708 meters (5,604 feet) across and plunge to a depth of about 108 meters (354 feet).
